Pull out the cartridge and notice that it report 0000. Replace the cartridge and if it still reports the previous number then the 'chips' are still disabled. The number should go back to 100 when the cartridge is pulled and replaced. For this reason ALWAYS remind the customer to NEVER remove the cartridge from the print WHILE IT IS ON. This way the 'counter' will stay correct. If an INK volume reports a low number and the customer wants to find out how much might be left in the cartridge. Turn off the printer and check the small TAB on the side of the cartridge.
